  The food is always fresh and everyone is always pleasant and kind. Truly a little gem and slice of Acadia within Halifax. In four visits I have not had anything I did not like. Makes sure you have an appetite for fish and starches, for these are what make up the truly best dishes on the menu.

  I was sorry to read about the persons experience who found the server rude but I understand what she meant as it sounds like the guy who is quite often there when we go. He seems like a fish out of water in that he doesn't have the social skills you'd expect to find in the service industry. That being said I think he is a fish out of water He's not a bad guy he just isn't suited for public service

  One of the worst restaurants in halifax. Service was awful for only having three occupied tables and two servers. Our group of 4 came in to the restaurant told the server we were outside and then waited 15 minutes before a server came with menus and no drinks. Came back and took our orders, a lot of confusion over substitutions. Then waited 40 minutes before deciding to move inside. We then flagged over the receptionist from the attached hotel to get some coffee. After another 10 minutes we received our food which was subpar at best. My friends orders were switched getting the wrong rupe of bread and eggs.The poutine they boasted as having "real gravy and cheese curds" came with st. Hubert's packaged gravy. The eggs were obviously liquidized coming from a carton. And the toast that my friend asked to have well done was barely toasted. After receiving our food we had to ask for the third time to get some water. The server then asked us is there anyyyyything else we can do for you an incrediblt snide tone. Never checked how our meal was tasting. And as we were going to pay the server was loudly complaining about a table of ladies having patio drinks taking too long, which he rushed out by passively aggressively throwing their bill at them. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. 0 stars

  I think he does his best to support the owner who joins him in being the chief cook and bottle washer of a small operation where each of them work their buns off to do their best. We have long ago accepted the lack of 'friendly' service by the man who appears uncomfortable in his role and replaced it with an appreciation of how hard it must be for him to go against his nature just to be supportive of his partner.

  Great food great service and wonderful atmosphere there was 9 of us for a birthday celebration. Great job.
